What a fantastic sense of team today at Windsor - the weather was foul outside but we merrily got roasted inside. With over 300 hundred athletes competing, the venue was heaving and the noise levels high.

A superb set of results from a very talented set of athletes. Well done to all our athletes in a demanding competition, they all put out some sterling performances with lost of PB's.

John Nike past president of Bracknell AC and one of our current Vice-Presidents passed away on Christmas Day at Royal Berkshire Hospital.  John had many roles in the club, volunteer, Coach, Team Manager, President and Vice-President.  He regularly made donations to the club and was a key founder in 1985 when the all weather track was laid. Ben Russell came third Senior Man in the South of England Combined Events Championships at Lee Valley over the weekend, lying 8th ovenight he saw off strong competition to climb up the leaderboard 0pn the second day.  Brother Sam also competed and finished his first U20 competition.

Running for the Great Britian U20 womens team on Sunday 11th Dec Amelia Quirk came 9th overall in the European Crioss Country Championships.  She was second scorer for the team, beating two of the girls she beat in the trial race, helping the team win the team competition.

Another excellent set of performances from the Bracknell athletes. The U15 girls blue team continue to dominate the league with the U15 boys blue team also holding the top spot. The U13 girls blue team have just been pipped to first place and I know will be fighting to regain the league championships. The U13 boys are currently in third spot.... more

Amelia was first Under 17 Woman in the UK Cross Country Challenge in Liverpool on Saturday 26 November, and 5th overall in the U20/U17 combined race.  Amelia is now off to Italy next month for the European Cross-Country Championships.
