Bracknell Athletics Club dates back to 1953. Over the past 60 plus years, we have developed athletes across the track and field spectrum; some of whom have competed at Olympic, World, Commonwealth, European and National level and many at Regional and County level.

Following a silver medal perfromance at the English Schools on 9th July, Darcey got her England Schools Call-up for the Schools International on 16th July in Ashford (Kent).  Darcey follows a long line of Bracknell athletes to represent England at this event.

U15 Girls 4 x 300m relay team record

Well done to the girls who really were on fire running their 4 x 300m in a record time of 2.52.6. This broke their previous record set earlier this season by 8 seconds.

Three new relay records were set in Andover on 16 Apr 16.

Rebecca Watkins, Lauren Shaw, Hannah McClay and Phoebe Fenwick, ran 50.2 for a U20W 4x100 record.

Lucy Rogers, Emily Spencer-Jones, Emily Read and Hannah McClay, ran 4:12.5 for a U20W 4x400 record.

Natasha Bennett, Charlotte Johnson, Lottie Ambridge and Hannah Roberts lowered the 2014 record to 3 mins 0.6 seconds at Palmer Park on 23 Apr 16.

James Gardner (coach Andy Hughes) broke R Ferbery's Under 15 boys discus record at Palmer Park on 23rd April with a throw of 35.20m to help Bracknell to 4th in the Youth Development League (Lower) Premier Division. James added 20cm to the old record.

Zak Seddon took nearly two seconds off his club record for the Steeple Chase on the 1 April at Palo Alto California, a time that takes him into the UK All Time top 50 for the event amd not far off the IAAF quaifying standard for Rio.

Joel Cable broke his Indoor Penthalon club record this Sunday at Lee Valley by a massive 320 point with 5 PB's.

Joel started the day with 60 metre hurdles were he brought his time down to 10.00 sec's, then jumping over 5 metre's for the first time in competition in the Long Jump  with 5... more

Phoebe Fenwick broke her own U17 club records for Shot and Pentathlon at the England Combined Event Championships on 12 Mar.  10.67 in the shot and 2980 points in the Hepathlon.

A great run by Amelia Quirk at the English Schools cross-country Championships in Nottingham on 5 Mar resulted in her just being piped for silver in the Inter Girls race.  Her third place means an England call up for the Schools international in Falkirk in two weeks time.
